Environmental Responsibility
Like the rest of the world, Celerity is increasingly concerned about sustainability and our environmental footprint. We accept that we have responsibility to the principles of sustainability and environmental awareness and we recognise the social and economic importance of protecting the environment.
We aim to lead by example, by promoting a sensitive and considered attitude to the environment. By taking action to reduce our environmental footprint, we can help create a more sustainable future for all.
Our continued dedication to achieving and maintaining sustainable and environmentally conscious practices has meant we have achieved our ISO14001 accreditation.

Ethical Responsibility
Ethical Procurement
Celerity uses a range of suppliers and sub-contractors from large companies to SMEs and all are subject to our standard Sub-contractor Selection Process as defined in the company’s ISO9001 certified Quality Management System (QMS). A broad range of areas are investigated to assess the quality, capability and capacity of any sub-contractors and will determine the scale and nature of any works undertaken to ensure projects and services are successfully delivered for each customer organisation and follow legal obligations.
Approved subcontractors are reassessed annually to ensure that they still comply with the Celerity Sub-contractor Selection Process. Celerity carries out benchmarking reviews to ensure that we achieve or beat industry best practice. The results of this benchmarking will be used to ensure our sub-contractors have the necessary financial and operational stability to fulfil their obligations for specific contracts and ensure continuity of supply.
Anti-Harassment and Bullying Policy
Celerity is committed to ensuring that all members of staff are treated with dignity and respect, regardless of whether they have a Protected Characteristic or not. Learn about how we achieve this in our Anti-Harassment & Bullying Policy.
Equal Opportunity
Celerity is committed to being an equal opportunities employer and to provide a workplace free from discrimination, harassment, intimidation and victimisation based on race, age, sex, sexual orientation, marriage and civil partnership, disability, religion or belief, gender reassignment or pregnancy and maternity.
Anti-slavery & Human Trafficking Statement
Celerity adopts zero tolerance to modern slavery and human trafficking. For more information about how we achieve this in our Anti-slavery & Human Trafficking Statement.
Philanthropic Responsibility

Our Chosen Charity of the Year
At Celerity, we are proud to support Teenage Cancer Trust as our Charity of the Year. This cause is particularly close to our hearts and we believe in supporting young people facing cancer with the care, compassion, and specialised treatment they deserve.
Through fundraising, awareness campaigns, and volunteer efforts, we are committed to helping Teenage Cancer Trust make a positive impact in the lives of teenagers and young adults battling cancer. Together, we aim to provide hope and make a lasting difference.
Support our charityLocal Community Responsibility
Celerity is committed on an annual basis to offer financial support to various organisations, whether that be through sponsorships or charitable giving.
Throughout the year, the Celerity team are actively encouraged to take part in a number of charitable events, from Bake Off inspired coffee mornings, to sponsored marathons. Our team routinely give their time and commitment freely and of their own accord, to do whatever it takes to reach our charitable goals and support the community around us.
We proudly sponsor a team local to our Northeast office, the Under 11 Lionesses at Washington Nsg Athletic Football Club, in the hope of encouraging the next generation of female footballers.
In recent years, we joined forces and donated money to the Kirkham and District Food Action Group, a fund-raising appeal with the aim of delivering 100 Christmas food hampers to local people.
At Celerity we listen to our team, to gain an insight about which projects, initiatives or causes would benefit from Celerity’s support.

Financial Responsibility
Tackling Economic Inequality
At Celerity we foster and maintain supply chain resilience and capacity with our suppliers through a culture of ethical trading relationships. We are committed to obtaining and retaining competitive goods and services while at the same time ensuring they are from sources which have not compromised human rights, safety, or the environment.
We continuously strive to develop strong relationships with our suppliers, based on mutual trust, understanding and respect and to improve the quality, environmental performance and sustainability of goods and services.
Celerity lead by example and ensure workforce equality and diversity within supply chains and proudly promote the benefits of fair employment practices.
Living Wage Employer
Celerity are proud to be accredited as a Living Wage Employer. Our Living Wage commitment ensures that everyone working at Celerity receive a minimum hourly wage of £10.90 in the UK, significantly higher than the government minimum for over 23s, which currently stands at £9.50 per hour.
Celerity’s head office is based in the Northwest, a region with nearly a fifth of all jobs (18.4%) paying less than the real Living Wage - around 534,000 jobs. Despite this, Celerity has committed to pay the real Living Wage and deliver a fair day’s pay for a hard day’s work. The real Living Wage is the only rate calculated according to the costs of living. It provides a voluntary benchmark for employers that wish to ensure their staff earn a wage they can live on, not just the government minimum.
Since 2011 the Living Wage movement has delivered a pay rise to almost 400,000 people and put over £2 billion extra into the pockets of low paid workers.
