Graduate Marketing Executive

 

Position Summary

The Junior Marketing Executive will play a pivotal role in implementing and supporting Celerity’s internal and external communication strategies. A primary focus will be the ongoing management and development of the company intranet, ensuring it remains up to date, engaging, and aligned with business priorities to keep employees informed and connected. This platform will be central to fostering employee engagement, enhancing access to information, and promoting organisational alignment.

The role will also support content updates to the company website using HubSpot’s Content Management System (CMS), ensuring consistency in brand messaging and alignment with campaign activity. Additionally, this role will support external communications, including public relations initiatives and stakeholder correspondence, supporting a clear and impactful brand voice.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their marketing career who is eager to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience across a broad range of marketing and communications activities.

Key Responsibilities

Intranet Management & Development

 

  • Regularly update and maintain the company intranet with timely, relevant content.
  • Collaborate with various departments to source and verify internal communications, ensuring information is accurate and aligned with organisational goals.
  • Gather user feedback and monitor analytics to improve the intranet’s user experience and engagement.

Website Content Management

  • Update and maintain the company website using HubSpot CMS, ensuring all content is current, accurate, and aligned with active campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather website content requirements and publish updates in a timely manner.
  • Support optimisation of web content for user experience and engagement, using basic SEO best practices where relevant.

Internal Communications

  • Develop and distribute engaging content across internal channels, such as newsletters and email communications.
  • Coordinate town hall meetings, employee events, and other initiatives to foster a strong organisational culture.
  • Assist in drafting internal announcements, policy updates, and memos.
  • Monitor employee engagement and feedback to improve communication strategies.

External Communications Support

  • Provide support in drafting press releases, blog posts, and social media content.
  • Assist in maintaining consistent branding and messaging across external communications.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team as needed to ensure cohesive external outreach on campaign activity.

Administrative Tasks

  • Maintain accurate records of communication activities and materials.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting on communication metrics and analytics.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for communication-related tools, platforms, and events.
  • Provide administrative support to the marketing team
 

Skills & Competencies

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and a passion for clear engaging messaging.
  • Marketing knowledge: Understanding of digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, SEO/SEM, and content marketing.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with digital communication tools (e.g., intranet platforms, email campaign software) and content management systems (CMS), basic HTML and analytics tools. Proficiency in creative software eg creative software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is beneficial.
  • Soft Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Strong time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
  • Team Collaboration: A proactive, collaborative mindset with a willingness to work cross-functionally to meet deadlines and achieve common goals.
  • Adaptability: Comfort in handling both internal and external communications with professionalism and ease. Ability to adapt, think critically and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Marketing or a related field; alternatively, completion of a relevant marketing apprenticeship with a recognised qualification.

Reporting Structure

The Junior Marketing Executive will report directly to the Marketing Director and collaborate closely with marketing and other departments to ensure alignment in messaging and strategy.

Work Environment

This is a Manchester-based office role with flexibility to work from home as needed. We offer adaptable remote work arrangements to support a balanced and dynamic working experience.
