💚 Celerity Goes Green: Supporting Marine Conservation with a Beach Clean 🏝️
By Emily Davidson
16 October 2024Celerity has engaged with the Marine Conservation Society since 2024, to support their public Beach Clean events around the UK. MCS is the UK’s marine conservation charity, working to solve the climate crisis, protect marine wildlife and clean up our oceans.
The decision was made by our Social Value Committee, made up of volunteer staff, who coordinate our engagement activities. As we are an IT services company, we have as many staff working remotely as work in our offices. The Beach Clean events are an accessible activity for all of us to engage in, both in large and small groups.
For Celerity the regular Beach Clean events:
- Create a fun way for staff and families to engage in positive environmental outcomes
- Contribute to statistics for international data and legislation
- Provide a team-building experience
- Encourage our wider family and friends to join in
- Enable staff to meet socially outside the work environment
- Educate our staff and families on marine environmental challenges
- Create positivity and achievement with visible outcomes for the teams
- Promotes our company with Celerity hi-vis vests and accessories
- Supports the Marine Conservation Society and its charitable aims
Celerity will continue to engage in these events and the next stage is to encourage our customers and vendor technology partners to get involved with us in cleaning up the UKs beaches and becoming informed on marine conservation.
September 2024 – Beach Cleans undertaken by Celerity and the outcome results:

The next Celerity Beach Clean events are scheduled for March/April 2025.
