By Emily Davidson
26 September 2023During August, Celerity's Compliance Team completed its annual reassessment with EcoVadis, a globally recognised assessment platform that rates businesses’ sustainability based on four key areas:
- Environment
- Labor & Human Rights
- Ethics
- Sustainable Procurement
Our scorecard following this reassessment is shown below:
This year's reassessment resulted in an increase in Celerity's rating, with the most notable results being:
- Celerity's overall score increased by 2 points from 63 to 65
- Moved to ‘Advanced’ performance level, compared to ‘Good’ last year
- Retained Silver medal sustainability rating
- The overall rating increase resulted from improvements in the Environment category
- Celerity is now among the top 25% of companies assessed by EcoVadis
Peter Burn, Compliance Manager at Celerity, said "Over 100,000 companies have been rated by EcoVadis and Celerity’s scorecard rating is within the top 25% of these. The Compliance Team are continuously working to further improve our sustainability performance to help drive Celerity in becoming a leader as a socially responsible company."
The objective of the rating process is to assess the quality of a company’s sustainability management system. The scorecard ratings and findings help us to manage our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) risk and compliance, meet corporate sustainability goals, and guide us in the sustainability performance improvement of our organisation. The sustainability scorecard can be shared with stakeholders including employees, board members and customers. It can also be shared in RFP or tender proposals. We currently share our scorecard with some of our existing customers who are also members of the EcoVadis network, via the EcoVadis portal.
