A cyber attack on IT systems at Synnovis has severely impacted pathology services at major hospitals, including King's College Hospital and Guy's and St Thomas', as well as primary care services. Dr. Abdul Kamali highlights the "massive effect" this has had, with only "clinically critical" samples being processed.
🩸 Urgent Need for Blood Donors: Prof. Dee Thiruchelvam from NHS Blood and Transplant urges more O negative and O positive blood donations due to manual checks taking longer.
Patient Care Impact: Dr. Kamali notes, "Without test results, diagnoses can't be made, treatments can't be given."
