BGF-backed Celerity, a leading provider of hybrid cloud and IT managed services, is delighted to announce the acquisition of Ranger4 as it continues to deliver strong growth and expansion.
Since 2011, Ranger4 has built a solid reputation for delivering enterprise class solutions based on measurable outcomes that help organisations reduce cost and guarantee customer service levels and performance. Their award-winning Ways of Working consultancy maximises the benefits of IBM’s Automation and AI solutions, offering a fresh approach to FinOps and Organisational readiness.
Craig Aston, CEO at Celerity, said: “It’s fantastic to announce our acquisition of Ranger4 as we continue to create value and scale for our clients and team. Ranger4 is an ideal culture and capability fit for Celerity and the team has built an impressive client list. This is another significant milestone for Celerity as we invest in expanding Celerity’s Automation and AI Sales team and we’re energised by the growth potential of this and our wider business in the years ahead.”
As part of the deal, the two key directors, Malcolm Namey and Steve Green, will continue in the business to head up the Automation and AI Sales Team.
Director of Ranger4 Malcolm Namey commented: “This is a natural next step for Ranger4. We have built a focused, high-impact business and joining Celerity gives us the platform to scale that capability much faster. Together, we can deliver greater value to clients and take what we have created to a much bigger market.”
“Organisations are changing the way they consume and acquire technology - Celerity absolutely get that and are showing realmarket leadership with their investments making sure they are the go-to partner in this space, making Celerity the perfect home for us,” Steve Green concluded.
For Celerity’s clients, this acquisition adds a differentiated new dimension to its cyber-resilient infrastructure proposition, enhancing cost efficiency and AI-driven performance intelligence across complex hybrid environments.
Since its launch in 2002, Celerity has established itself as a market leader in intelligent cybersecurity, data protection, and data visualisation services. Following a significant investment from growth capital investors BGF in 2021, the company has achieved accelerated growth driven by service diversification, strategic partnerships, and complementary acquisitions. This news follows the recent appointments of David Stokes and Stephen Leonard as advisors to the board to support M&A and unlock further growth.
